I was pretty sceptical about the whole idea of coaching and I suppose my default position would be that the world is full of snake oil salesmen and charlatans, so buyer beware. However when I met Melissa and had the pleasure of interviewing her for a short video, I was totally disarmed by her natural manner and easy confidence. In fact, when she offered me the chance to try out a few coaching sessions, instead of running the other way as I would have expected myself to do, I agreed to give it a try. The result has been a real eye opener for me. I have to say, I was totally un-prepared for how good it would feel to share my issues and problems with a confidential third party. Melissa is an excellent listener as well as a good prodder for more information and I found myself able to completely open up to her in a way that, quite frankly, amazed me. I am no longer a sceptic, I think we could all benefit from a good business coach such as Melissa.

Before my session with Melissa I didn't think I was making the best use of my time at networking event, I wasn't confident in approaching groups of strangers, or talking about my job. Having given myself a 4/10 before, now I'd rate my confidence 8/10 - I feel like I've got some great tools to help me talk about what I do in a way that's short and interesting, and ultimately to give and get more out the events that I'll be going to in future.

I booked a session with Melissa and it transformed the way I worked. Her insight was such that I saw my problems in a new light and knew exactly what I was going to do next in terms of bringing my senior colleagues round to my way of thinking. I was on fire when I left and went on to deliver one of the most successful campaigns the Soil Association has ever seen.

I thought your coaching style was effective and has contributed greatly to our productivity. Communication can be an issue for us and having personally taken the company from 2 to 50 people sometimes it’s difficult for me not to provide 'the benefit of my expertise'. However I now recognise I have to consider my interventions very carefully to enable the team to solve the problem from their own resources. Since the coaching programme, I have noticed my team are communicating more effectively. Particular individuals are more integrated, assertive, and motivated. Furthermore, the group seems to have increased respect for each other. I am sure the benefits will continue to accrue.
